Parisian it-girl Charlotte Chesnais had one of the best jobs in fashion – she was up until recently an in house stylist for Balenciaga.

In a 2010 Vogue profile she stated that in a given day she might attend fittings for clients such as Salma Hayek or help come up with ideas for the brand’s jewellery collection. Off duty she is friends with accessories designer Olympia Le Tan and the pair are often seen out and about at an enviable array of parties.

Nicolas Ghesquière’s influence in contemporary fashion is simply undeniable. His protégés are slowly, yet steadily, becoming the most-buzzed-about designers in Paris, from Julien Dossena at Paco Rabanne to Charlotte Chesnais, who was not only Dossena’s head of leather goods and jewelry at Paco Rabanne, but who has also then launched her own line of sinewy and sculptural jewelry.

Her collection was comprised of mostly circular shapes that almost wrap around the body. Bracelets are really ornaments that spiral around thumbs, and earrings are created from intersecting orbitals. The gold and silver designs are easy to wear while still being exciting—the sort of things you could imagine a true Parisian sporting around.

Do note this: Charlotte Chesnais is now in New York City, working for Maiyet.
