Volvo is proudly celebrating their 90th anniversary – celebrations started back in April with a short heritage film showcasing nine decades of cars, tied to the music of each period – and a tiny glimpse into the future. Time does go by, and 90 years to the month after the very first Volvo left the factory (it was the model ÖV 4, which is often referred to as “Jakob”), a brand new model has started its way down the production line: an all-new XC60.

Meanwhile, after a long exhausting day, packed with meetings and events to attend, just before sunset, I decided to take my brave, elegant and sleek Volvo S90 for a ride by the beach. To celebrate in a different way. Barefoot, careless.

“May your best friend take you where you want to go. And at the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair messy, and your eyes sparkling”.

Happy Anniversary Volvo! Cheers to the next absolutely amazing 90 years to come! And here’s to the future – that is already here.
